ASSEMBLY
SECTION
Many of the products we paint form part of a final assembly.
COLPLAST has the elements and the means needed in
order to ensure that the assembly process is carried out
to the required level of quality.
Knowledge of part characteristics in accordance with the
specifications required and the skill of the staff performing
the process guarantee that the quality parameters required
by the customer are consistently achieved.
PART STORAGE
SECTION
COLPLAST has a warehouse adjoining the production
lines to receive and control goods both in terms of
quality and documentation (reception control ranges,
delivery notes, etc.).
There is another warehouse next to this one for the
storage of finished parts, something which undoubtedly
improves logistics and product quality given that products
are not mixed.
All warehouse management, stock management and
FIFO monitoring are performed using a LOGIN computer
system.
COLPLAST also has its own vehicle for product
transportation to the customer, meaning that we can
meet our customers' requirements without difficulty.
METAL SHOT
BLASTING SECTION
Blasting is the high kinetic energy impact
of a blast of abrasive onto the surface to be prepared. It can be
performed manually with a blaster or automatically with
a propellant. This is the most complete method of derusting.
ISP uses compressed air.
The effective average life of surface coatings depends,
among other things, on how the surface is prepared
before painting.
The preparation of the raw surface consists of
eliminating calamine, rust and foreign materials from
the steel surface before applying the primer.
Secondary surface preparation aims to
eliminate any rust and foreign materials from the surface of shop
primer-coated steel before the application of the complete
paint system.
One of the methods used to clean the steel surface is
cleaning with metal shot.
According to the ISO standard, there are 4 degrees of
surface preparation:
ISP performs the 4 degrees of cleaning depending on customer requirements. In order to do this, we have:
METAL PART PAINTING SECTION
The main function of protective coating is to prevent
or control corrosion. Uncontrolled corrosion on equipment
implies serious economic setbacks and increases the
risk of accidents, with the subsequent danger to human
life.
These 2 consequences lead us to the conclusion that the
selection and application of anti-corrosion measures is a fundamental part of the design and construction of
any structure exposed to the rigours of the Environment.
It should also be pointed out that the right choice of
painting system means that the painted material lasts
longer, thereby bringing savings.
For this process, ISP has the necessary means to ensure
perfect application and quality.
ISP has a liquid-paint application booth
and a drying oven for all type of structure, refinery pipes, gas pipes,
framing, etc. measuring 15 metres long, 5 metres wide
and 5 metres high.
Painting is by spray using AIRLESS or high-pressure
air guns.
Our means of production have capacity for and our skilled
staff has great experience in the painting process and
the levels of quality which the market sets.
ISP also has a quality department to consult and choose
possible systems for the different materials and/or
NEW INSTALLATIONS.
POWDER COATING
We are currently performing a thorough study for the
installation of a powder coating system in order to
enhance competitiveness and apply clean technologies
capable of combining effectiveness and environmental
friendliness by cutting emissions and waste products
through the elimination of the use of solvents.
